Egg and I

560 South Holly St.
Leetsdale & Holly

Breakfast is the first meal of the day. The word is a compound of "break" and "fast", referring to the conclusion of fasting since the previous day's last meal. Breakfast meals vary widely in different cultures around the world, but often include a carbohydrate such as cereal or rice, fruit and/or vegetable, protein, sometimes dairy, and beverage.

Nutritional experts have referred to breakfast as the most important meal of the day, citing studies that find that people who skip breakfast are disproportionately likely to have problems with concentration, metabolism, and weight

Since 1987, when The Egg & I Restaurants first "hatched" on College Avenue in Ft. Collins, Colorado these popular breakfast-lunch restaurants continually win "The Best Breakfast in Town" awards. Offering "eggceptional" meals in a bright, light, upbeat decor, The Egg & I Restaurants promise great breakfast and lunches served from 6 AM until 2 PM daily (7 AM Sunday).

Gourmet coffee, 100% pure-squeezed orange juice, generous servings, and creative menu items all combine to make a meal at The Egg & I delicious and memorable. Frittatas, omelettes, whole wheat pancakes, waffles, and many delicious "non-egg" items fill the breakfast menu. Lunch choices include creative sandwiches, generous salads, and fresh, homemade soups. The same upscale menu is served all day, so if you want an omelette or a specialty frittata for lunch, no problem! The Egg & I takes great pride in offering tasteful, quality food provided by "eggceptional" servers. Meeting rooms for 20-40 people are generally available for private gatherings.
